AVS server allows you to connect up to 4 cameras from your computer and share the information over the Internet for watching remotely from your iPod or iPhone live video images and video stream - AtHome Camera and AtHome Video applications are required. First time you run the program you have to configure the streaming IP and streaming port. If you don't know how to configure the server settings, AVS server can automatically detect for you the streaming IP address and setup the port forwarding. You'll probably require firewall permission. The program also detects automatically the cameras already installed on your computer; you just have to check for the folder that will be used to store the recorder video. Each camera can be turned on/off. AVS server is capable of sending an email notification in case motion is triggered - it requires a SMTP server to send the email notification. The last important thing to notice is that only people with the user name and password given will have access to your AVS server from the outside. |
- AVS server can automatically detect for you the streaming IP address and setup the port forwarding.
|
- Delays of 2 or 3 seconds will be experienced if connecting from the outside for watching live video streaming.
